Here's the best way to get started: Rather than you signing up to learn flourishing every year from someone new and still creating flourishes that look like your instructors', we are going to meet once a week for 15 weeks straight / a full academic semester, where I will critique your work before your cohort and train your eyes as I critique other submissions.

You will learn to see the possibilities for flourishes like never before.

This is my expertise and my most joyous place.

Students who have been in private sessions with me know that I will immediately draw up 10-20 possibilities on the spot for paths you could have taken and ideas to balance the new layouts.

You learn not the right or wrong way to flourish but how to THINK like a flourishing badass so you can flourish WITHOUT ME.

Between sessions, our cohort will receive same-day support (in my EST time zone) for any questions that arise in practice in our private fb group. My notifications are on and you are my top priority all summer long.

You should know that I go all out for intensives. I will film videos to your questions when necessary and have been known to respond to posts past midnight.

Curriculum wise, you will receive unlimited access to my Text Flourishing Done Right online course with 10+hr of instructions as well as my new comprehensive pictorial flourishing course launching in late June.

These video instructions will serve as the theory and common language we will use in our Zoom sessions.

Each week, I will prescribe an assignment which you can choose to follow or create your own work to submit prior to our meeting. We will move from single word flourishing, to words / phrases / names, envelope flourishing, and quote flourishing (text only + text+pictorial).

You may also work with me to tailor the course towards one or two large finished pieces of your choice.

Our Zoom sessions will be split between a short lecture where I dissect layouts (not examined in the Text Flourishing course) and provide feedback on your pieces.

Please do not use this course for the purpose of designing paid client work.

Now, let's address what's on your mind: "It's so expensive!"

I hear you.

What I can tell you is that I will deliver value beyond common practice. I honor your decision to invest in yourself by investing in your progress personally and emotionally many times over.

I will not give up on you. It is literally how I am wired. I cannot help it.

You are not purchasing flourishing variations to copy that set you up for the same old boring results. You are committing to developing and strengthening your thought work, and learning how to think on your fingertips to flourish the dance you feel inside.

My advice to you, as a student who must also make frequent decisions about who/how to invest for my education, is to make your decision from the perspective of your future self from September 2021.

Where would you like to be on your flourishing journey? Be curious and invested in your becoming whether or not you choose to join this cohort.

Make decisions not from fear but from hope.

If you are worried about committing weekly, and are wondering how much time you would need to allocate every day for practice, I encourage you to consider practice as meditation. If we are fully honest with ourselves, our attention span is usually not the x-number of hours that we often force ourselves to commit to. I advocate always for mindful practice and ending the session as soon as you notice you are frustrated and distracted. It is not about flourishing a ton. It is about your willingness to take greater risks while being fully present.

If you are wondering why not just take the online courses and work through them self-paced instead of this intensive, you certainly can. But, if you've read this far, chances are you are realizing the potential of what can come from dedicating a full semester's time to flourishing with a small cohort, what you can learn by observing the thought process I apply to critique your work and the work of your peers, and what kind of growth is available to you if you can get your questions answered on the same day as you work.

If you know how to draw a compound curve and an oval, you are advanced enough for this course. The growth of my students over the years have shown me that where you think your skill level is is not what prepares you. The students who progress the fastest take the leap with their doubts.
